Pony Club is available for ages 7 - 21 years
SCE is a registered Pony Club centre. This allows you to benefit and be a member of the Pony Club by having the use of the horses available at the SCE stables.
Our participation as a Pony Club member allows us to encourage young riders to develop their horse riding skills and initiate their careers in the equestrian world. We are keen to push the involvement of young riders in these clubs as it helps to promote good horsemastership and increases animal care awareness.
Pony Club meets are held once a fortnight on a Sunday afternoon and are available to ages 7-21 years. Club rallies include a riding lesson and stable management tuition.
Participate and development is encouraged via a badge award scheme which can be earned through the demonstration of relevant knowledge in a particular area. Training toward Riding and Road Safety and D-A+ tests are also available for the more ambitious pony clubbers.
What is the Pony Club?
The Pony club itself was established in 1929 and gained charitable status in 1997. It is an international organisation for young riders iwth an interest in riding and ponies.
